Forest School

Forest school is an approach to learning that takes place in woodlands or a natural environment.  It encourages children to develop a closeness with the natural world and takes place on a regular basis in the same environment.  Learning is holistic and child-led with a high ratio of leaders to children.  Forest school is facilitated by qualified Forest School Leaders who risk assess the environment and activities using a risk/benefit approach to health and safety.

During Forest School we encourage children to develop respect and appreciation for their natural environment, enjoying what it has to offer without causing any damage and leaving no trace.
